Word In Your Ear takes place monthly at the Islington. It grew out of the late lamented Word magazine. Musicians and music authors talk to David Hepworth and Mark Ellen in front of a small, appreciative audience. The resulting recordings are podcast at www.wordpodcast.co.uk.

Past guests have included: Clare Grogan, Ben Watt, Thomas Dolby, Danny Baker, David Rodigan, Simon Napier Bell, Johnnie Walker, Zoë Howe, GQ editor Dylan Jones, Rick Buckler of The Jam, Sylvia Patterson, Jon Savage, Mark Lewisohn, and Sid Griffin.
